This website is the product of a project sponsored jointly by the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (ICS) and the Institute for the Study of the Americas (ISA) aiming to improve access to and use of their extensive collections of political ephemera. These collections are now fully searchable, and in addition a selection of the items can be viewed online in the gallery. Whether you are interested in politics, ephemeral material or the mechanics of organising a project of this kind it is hoped that this site will be of use to you.

This website is intended to promote the study of Political Ephemera held in the collections of Commonwealth Studies and the Study of the Americas at the University of London. It is in the nature of the materials themselves to take a partisan, and sometimes extreme, point of view. Some of these materials have been reproduced on this website. This has been done to better explain the content, and to encourage use, of the collections as a whole.

Any content contained in, or accessible from these web pages, does not reflect the views of the University of London, and the University does not endorse, warrant, or otherwise take responsibility for the contents of these web pages or of any material accessible from these web pages.

Much of the content on this site has been collected in accordance with the collection profile of the Institute concerned and acquired largely via donation. Whilst every effort has been made to secure copyright clearance for all the images contained with this website, we regret that it has not been possible to achieve this on every occasion. Where this is the case, it is assumed that the right holder(s) do not wish to claim the content therein.
